Classic Aloxe-Corton Pinot Noir with depth and muscle. Deep ruby to garnet in color. Youthful aromas of raspberry, strawberry, blackcurrant, and blackberry evolve with time toward peony, jasmine, preserved fruits, pistachio, leather, truffle, mushroom, and cinnamon. The palate is full bodied and vigorous yet refined, with firm, chewy tannins and a long savory finish. Best at 3 to 5 years after the vintage.

Dark red fruits with floral lift and earthy spice. Structured, richly chewy tannins, and balanced freshness.
Food Pairings
Rib steaks, braised lamb, roast or glazed poultry, couscous or tagine with meat. Excellent with soft-centered cheeses such as Époisses, Ami du Chambertin, and Livarot.
Site and Soils
From the Hill of Corton. East-facing vines on reddish brown soils with flint and limestone debris known as chaillots, rich in marl and minerals. Wines from the northern end tend to be more tender and fruity, those from the south firmer and more complex.
Quick Take
A robust village Burgundy that marries dark fruit and savory complexity with firm structure and real cellar potential.
