An overpowering fruity smell, especially prune, when uncorking. It dissipated somewhat when left to breath. Initially the taste was OK, but it left a very strong and unpleasant taste of prune in my mouth

This wine is very good, be sure to let it air a bit befor drinking and it relaxes into a warm, fruity, comfort. Not as deep as some but very refreshing.
