2019 vintage is original Winner of 1st best red wine of Italy 2022, 99 points by Luca Maroni "Organic, Italian Caymus," the Gelso d'Oro has a dark ruby red intense color. It consists of powerful aromas of the ripe grapes, black berry and currant fruit aromas, and tones of cocoa/dark chocolate, cinnamon, and cumin. The wine is extremely full bodied with a very balanced, rich, complex and extremely long finish. Grape variety: 100% Nero Di Troia (Black of Troy), Puglia. The origin dates back to pre-Roman era. Pairing: Great with rich and spicy first courses, baked and grilled red meat, game in rosemary sauces. Vinification : after night hand harvesting in mid September and gently pressing, the grapes placed for the first refinement in steel tank for 12 months then for second refining in wood barriques 1 ° E for 8 months and then in the bottle for another 6-8 months.
