1981 Bersano Barbaresco Riserva Cremosina DOCG, Piemonte

An aged Cremosina cru Barbaresco in Bersano's Champagnotta Napoleonica, the producer's patented bottle inspired by those Napoleon left at Cremosina during the Battle of Marengo, reserved for their most important reserves.

100% Nebbiolo from the Barbaresco DOCG in Piemonte. The Bersano winery was founded in 1907 in Nizza Monferrato by Giuseppe Bersano, and acquired the Cremosina vineyard from the Conti della Cremosina in 1912. Today Bersano farms 230 hectares across Langhe and Monferrato, the largest privately held vineyard estate in Piemonte.

Aged 24 months in oak then bottle-aged before release. Pairs with red meats, aged cheeses, and game. A contemplative wine for special occasions.
