2020 DONUM Carneros Estate Pinot Noir Napa Valley

The Carneros Estate Pinot Noir is Donum's flagship wine. We select only the best fruit that represents the expressive terroir of Carneros.Since Donum's inception in 2001, we have continued to craft our Carneros Estate Pinot Noir from a diverse selection of Dijon and heirloom clones across our 95-acre vineyard. The fruit is harvested and fermented separately and later transferred to French oak barrels to age for up to 16 months. In the final month, we select only the best barrels representing the terroir of our Carneros region in the finished blend.TASTING NOTES: Deep ruby to garnet in color, the 2020 Carneros Estate Pinot Noir shows classic Pinot Noir aromas of black cherry and currant with hints of violet and flint. The palate is brooding with blueberry and blackberry joined by graphite, roasted meat and olive notes. The finish is rich and concentrated with cardamom joined by dark fruit flavor. Variety: 54% Pommard, 33% Dijon 667, 6% Donum, 4% Mt. Eden, 2% Wadenswil 2A, 1% Martini. CASES PRODUCED : 1,184 cases
