Franciacorta 2011 DOCG Noble Cuvée, Ca' d'Or

A 2011 vintage Franciacorta with over a decade of age. Ca' d'Or aged this Noble Cuvée on the lees for more than double the time required by Franciacorta regulations, and you can taste the difference. This is not everyday sparkling wine. This is a bottle you open when the occasion calls for something that commands the table.

Franciacorta is made the same way as Champagne, with traditional method fermentation in the bottle, and the best examples rival anything coming out of France. This is one of the best examples.

Bright golden yellow with pale green highlights. Bread crust, fresh fruit, and shades of dried figs on the nose. The palate is fresh and lively with citrus, grapefruit, and a great sense of body. Very fine bubbles and refined elegance. The finish is long and perfectly balanced.

Serve chilled as the centerpiece of any celebration, or pair with seafood, aged cheeses, or roasted poultry.
