Pommard “Les Noizons” 2018, Nicolas Rossignol

Pommard Pinot Noir from Nicolas Rossignol, sourced from the “Les Noizons” lieu-dit on the northern slope of Pommard in Burgundy.

The 2018 vintage delivers classic Pommard structure with dark red fruit, savory depth, and polished tannins from deep clay-rich soils.

“Les Noizons” sits just above the heart of Pommard, facing south toward Beaune. The site is known for producing wines with power and depth, but when handled correctly, they retain balance and elegance. This bottling shows exactly that.

The 2018 opens with ripe cherry, blackberry, and subtle spice, followed by earthy undertones that signal true Pommard character. The tannins are firm but refined, giving the wine structure without heaviness. There is real grip here, but it is polished and controlled.

This is a more muscular expression than Volnay, built for food and time in the cellar. Drinking well now with air, and structured to age gracefully over the next decade.

Imported directly. Small production.
