How Discovery differs from Foundation

Foundation is built around excellent everyday bottles from our family estates. Discovery is built around scarcity. These are limited allocations from deeper relationships: growers who make a few thousand bottles a year, older vintages, single parcels, wines where the whole US allocation would not fill a shop shelf. If a wine only exists in quantities of thirty bottles, it cannot be a listing. It can be a Discovery box.

Who it's for

You already know what you like and you are looking for things you cannot find yourself. You would rather be surprised by something excellent than choose something safe. You want the producer's story alongside the bottle, not just a score.

What's in the box

It changes every quarter, which is the point. Expect small-production Italian and French reds and whites, older vintages when we can get them, and bottles from estates most American shops have never heard of. Everything is tasted before it goes in the box. Zero additives, as with everything we import.
