Sangiovese, Merlot red blend. Fermentation on skins for 12 days in steel tanks at controlled temperature practicing pumping over and delestage. Refined in cement vats and steel tanks, elevated in bottle. Intense ruby red, bouquet of red berries, cinnamon, spices hints and a long finish. Southern Tuscany highest DOCG appellation - a little brother of famous BRUNELLO.  Red blend of Sangiovese(90%), known there as Morellino and a little of other red grapes -Cabrent, Merlot, Syrah - is produced in the rolling coastal hills around the medieval village of Scansano and its volcanic soils.  Brilliant and ruby red, intense. Very elegant bouquet with typical Sangiovese sensations. The incipit on the nose is of red fruits as redcurrant and wild strawberry . Mouthfilling. Perfect combination of spices and violet hints. Fresh and crisp , pleasantly silky, harmonic and persistent with a long finish. Aged up to 18 months in  barrique, 13,00% vol. AWARD :95 PINTS, I MIGLIORI VINI ITALIANI - LUCA MARONI The Morellino name is a diminutive form of morello, and so translates as "little dark one". This etymology is almost identical to another of Sangiovese's many synonyms, Brunello. A few sources suggest that morello refers to a breed of horse unique to this part of Tuscany. Scansano's viticultural origins date back to Etruscan times, and the quality of the local wines has been documented for centuries.

Winemaking: Large oak barrels for 18-20 months, 6 months in the bottle before releasing. Grape : 100% Nebbiolo ;Tasting Notes: Complex, intense and fruity with sensations of cherry and raspberry, accompanied by mellow woody notes of vanilla.  3 bottle bundle . Grape variety: 100% Barbera, Piemonte.  A ruby red colour. On the nose evident violet sensations and cherries. In the mouth dry warm spicy notes with light vanilla and red fruit pulp. A Typical Barbera with mature fruit and a fresh acidity. Aging : in barriques and tonneaux for 20 months / in bottle for 3 months. A persistent and mellow important red wine. To match with red meat and game dishes or strong taste cheeses.                                                         

Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo, Piemonte. Average age of the vines: 40-60 years. A full bodied wine, with an intense aroma and long persisting on the palate. Garnet deep red color with brick-red nuances. Aroma: intense, complex with dominant of cherry and violet and jams.Taste: a full bodied,  powerful, tasty with high level and harmonic tannins; warm and full-flavoured with dominate features of violet , dark chocolate wrapped in rose.Alcohol: 14%.    Maturing: in big barrel for 40 months(2+ years) / in bottle for 6 months Food-Wine Coupling: best for steaks and games.
