BOTTLED 200 CASES.This 2002 wine is the inaugural vintage for the winery.This vintage was aged in 100% new French oak for 18 months .    A deep, dark ruby in the glass, this wine has a nose of bright cherry fruit and the vanilla aromas of French oak, mixed with cola and tobacco notes. In the mouth it is balanced and full bodied, with sweet very very soft tannins supporting primary flavors of cherry, cola, some light floral notes, and a slight earthy coffee hint in its moderate finish. This wine is more “pretty” than complex, and is very accessible at the moment, which  makes it a crowd pleaser.

Wild blueberries, tree ripened plums, raspberry popovers, marzipan, graphite, licorice whip, milk chocolate and forest floor. The estate’s hallmark notes of violets and crushed rock are ever present. This wine is supremely generous and approachable in its youth, however, its elegance and power make a strong argument for cellaring over the next 20 years.         “The biggest cuvée that Herold makes for Robert Kamen is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, at 2,100 cases, from a vineyard dominated by the volcanic basalt elevation between 1,100 and 1,500 feet. It sits above the iconic Monte Rosso Vineyard, owned by Gallo. Blueberry and blackberry fruit, forest floor, dusty/loamy notes, roasted herbs and meats all jump from the glass of this opaque purple wine. FREE shipping. The very good This light ruby colored wine was showing signs of age. With complex aromatics of tobacco, truffle, cassis and fresh leaves were a pleasure to spend with, Medium bodied with elegant textures, the wine finished with spicy cassis. The wine was made blending 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc.Chateau Brane Cantenac is usually better with at least 10 years of bottle age. Of course that can vary slightly, depending on the vintage character. Chateau Brane Cantenac offers its best drinking and should reach peak maturity between 12-35 years of age after the vintage.

The 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Merlot aged 21 months in French oak, of which 55% was new) offers pure black currant fruit and floral notes along with unobtrusive oak, and the attractive sweetness and richness that come from ripe fruit. This pretty, elegant, well-made 2004 is best consumed over the next decade. - Robert Parker.  Production was 10000 cases amazing when you consider how good this mountain wine is. Immediately drinkable for the soft purity of the tannins and complex cassis chocolate and oak flavors it has the sturdy structure to develop for some years but is best now for its elegant purity. FREE shipping.Thibeaud-Maillet is a real jewel.This appelation produces some of the most famous and sought after wines in Bordeaux such as Chateau Petrus, which lies only 400 meters from Chateau Thibeaud-Maillet! A tiny 1.7 ha estate, the 30-50yo vines are planted in a sandy, gravelly alluvial soil, which overlies Tertiary clay. The wines from this estate have a subtle, teasing, complex fruit with a silky delivery on the palate. For drinking now to 2025+.  Merlot/CabFranc blend. Taste: Rich and already complex with a nice warm touch of wood. Light ripe prunes, cherry pits, earthy and almost port-like, yet very elegant. A nice balance, layered with fine acidity and ripe tannins. Great length with clean fruit in the aftertaste. This wine showcases Pomerol and optimally ripe Merlot at its best for an affordable price.
