NAPA style Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva.  Winemaking:  our Cabernet grow up in the Langhe and Roero hills. Once the grapes achieve the right ripeness degree, the harvested bunches are transported to the cellar where they are carefully selected and destemmed.  Softly pressed it stored in steel tanks for the first fermentation phase when the colour, aromas, tannins and structure from the skin of the berries are extracted.  After this first phase, they are separated and  transferred to tonneaux and barriques. Malolactic fermentation takes place inside the barriques and tonneaux, where they remain  for at least 18 months. In the following months the wine refines through the exchange of oxygen allowed by the porosity of the wood, which softens the tannin making it less invasive and more elegant and enriching the wine with a greater complexity of aromas such as the hint of vanilla typical of oak. Winemaker notes: An austere, complex, generally very aromatic wine, which expresses all the wonders of the forest and the pristine mountains. On the nose, mainly emerge wild berries, black cherry, plum, perfectly integrated with the vegetable scents of the undergrowth, musk, pine needles, oak leaves. But a more careful analysis will reveal the more material organoleptic characteristics, linked to the rock, graphite often with balsamic puffs, black pepper and ink. Flaviana Fia

FREE shipping. Concentrated and earthy, this is a full-bodied, moderately tannic but complex wine, from the earthy, spicy aromas through the ripe plum and anise flavors and mineral like finish.  Lovers of Inglenook's old wines will recognize the name Niebaum, which refers to that winery's founder, a sea captain named Gustave Niebaum. Francis Coppola acquired much of the property and began reconstructing the estate back in the mid-1970s. Located in Rutherford, this is an exemplary place for Bordeaux varietals in California. The name "Rubicon" is a classical reference to Caesar's march on Rome--'the crossing of the Rubicon'--meant to suggest a point of no return, appropriate for Niebaum-Coppola's flagship production. A proprietary blend, this is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate's prime vineyard blocks planted to the original Niebaum Cabernet clone, with only small amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

100% Sangiovese . Podere San Giuseppe is a Biodynamic estate winery in Castelnuovo dell’Abate in the far south of the Montalcino - home of famous BRUNELLO , near the Abbey of Sant’Antimo and overlooked by Mount Amiata.  The Sangiovese here is made and aged (12 months) in same way as the Brunello and is simply bottled earlier.     Delicious and malty, lots of warmth and potentially wild flavour . Remains one of the world's most ambitious and delicious red wines. Using mostly new oak, this Gold Winner Pinot Noir has an intense ruby color; profound aromas of ripe black fruits, spicy aromas of coffee and black pepper. A full mouthfeel with an elegant tannin structure brings with it spicy, black-currant  and dark cherry driven flavors leads to velvety finish and long aftertaste.  Food Coupling: Accompanies fish dishes and grilled white meats. Deep ruby red colour. Intense bouquet and persistent nose of ripe red fruit with cherry prevalence and notes of chocolate. Crisp and harmonious, with a spicy, mineral end and cherry aftertaste. Grapes: 100% Sangiovese from Cantina di Montalcino. Late (middle of October) accurate  harvest of the grapes that must be healthy and ripe.         Production Area: the hilly areas of the municipality of Montalcino (Siena). Vinification: Pressed by natural gravity, long maceration of the peels for 15-20 days, to increase the structure and the power of Sangiovese and extract tannins and colour. To be able to tame the polyphenols present a careful processing with delicate repassing. Aging in Slavonian oak barrels for 36 months (24 months in barrique and 12 months in large oak barrels) and  1 year in bottles minimum.

Grape variety: 100% Croatina(northern Primitivo /Zinfandel ); Average age of the vines: 20 – 30 years, very rear grape. Maturing: in French oak barrels for a minimum 18 months and in the bottle for a minimum of 6 months. Colour: intense ruby red. Aroma: vinous, ethereal, with notes of ripe fruits enhanced by a perceptible, yet faint, hint of wood. Taste: full, rich harmonious, which expresses the fragrance of Croatina grape with aftertaste of almond, raspberry and strawberry. Alcohol: 14%    

Winemakers note: "A Jammy fruit from beginning to end starting with aromas of blueberry pie, nutmeg and pepper. In the mouth, flavors expand to include boysenberry, plum, blueberry and spice. This full bodied wine has a bold tannin structure and balanced acidity that lead to a long finish. This big wine is anything but petite.”
