Castel Giovanelli is the top Sauvignon Blanc from Cantina Kaltern in Alto Adige, northern Italy. High-altitude fruit and long bottle aging give the 2011 unusual depth and poise. This is a layered, age-worthy Sauvignon Blanc with real presence.

White flowers, citrus oil, and jasmine on the nose. On the palate, exotic fruit, alpine herbs, and a subtle ginger note. Bold yet silky, with a long, clean, mineral finish.

How to enjoy
Serve at 52 to 55°F. Excellent with shellfish, goat cheese, grilled vegetables, asparagus, or creamy risotto.
