This Sancerre set comes from two small family domaines in the Loire Valley who make Sauvignon Blanc the real way. Three bottles from François Reverdy. Three from Domaine des Athénées. All clean, small-estate Sancerre with no additives and no industrial shortcuts.

François Reverdy is an artisan. He farms a tiny parcel of Kimmeridgian marl by hand, harvests manually, and ferments with native yeasts. He refuses shortcuts like chaptalization and cares deeply about every detail. His organic Sancerre has tension, chalk, crushed shells, and a long saline finish. It is one of the most expressive organic Sancerres we have tasted.

Domaine des Athénées works in the teaching cellar of the Cosne viticultural school. Their style is classic Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh, mineral, and clean with citrus, white peach, and bright acidity. Sustainable HVE vineyards and stainless steel winemaking keep the wine precise and pure.

Together these two domaines show the full spectrum of real Sancerre wine. One is artisan and chalk driven. One is classic and mineral. Both come from families who grow their own fruit and work with respect for their land.
