FREE SHIPPING. The Cade Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain 2013 is a red wine from Howell Mountain AVA in Napa Valley. This wine is fantastic with aromas of clove, cranberry, raspberry, coffee, cinnamon, black pepper, and coco nibs. Gloriously pure notes of boysenberry, graphite, blackberry, coffee, and dark chocolate soar from the glass and cascade over the palate. The wine is full-bodied, with an opulent, velvety texture, pure, rich with firm tannins and bold structure that is classic Howell Mountain. Blend: 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Malbec, 4% Merlot, 3% PetitVerdot. Given the opportunity to build the winery from the ground up, Newsom, Getty, and Conover were committed to constructing a state-of-the-art winery that would pay tribute to the land, both aesthetically and ecologically. This commitment would go above and beyond the standard benchmark of environmental responsibility, especially in the world of wine. The end goal, to construct the first CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers) organically farmed, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold Certified Estate Winery in the Napa Valley. The two-fold commitment initiated in the vineyards with a painstaking program of natural cultivation to convert the vineyards to organic farming practices. “Change is good, green is good, organic is good,” says CADE partner John Conover about the estate’s environmentally proactive approach to winemaking. “We’re doing it because it’s the right thing to do as stewards of the land.”Today, Winemaker Danielle Cyrot continues to craft high elevation cabernet sauvignon that articulates the intense, powerful character of our estate while maintaining a balance of mountain fruit, firm acidity and judicious oak for layered, complex wines that reflect approachability and age ability – this nuanced, artisanal expression that Cade refers to as Modern Howell Mountain.

The wine is complex with broad, muscular tannins, excellent structure and a long, velvety finish.PressRated 97 Points Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateI had the 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve (97 points) a half-dozen times this year, and it may be the finest Cabernet ever from Mondavi. This has a very different bouquet to the 1996: lighter and minty, more red fruit than black fruit profile, raspberry, bergamot, a touch of leather coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, almost filigree tannins, harmonious, light and more Bordeaux like than other vintages with a little dryness coming through on the ferrous, honey-textured finish. Cabernet Sauvignon 73%, Carmenere 24%, Cabernet Franc 3%. Dark crimson. Intense nose and a return of some Bordeaux dry character. Sweet start that is then reined in by savoury tannins and a very convincing structure. Still extremely young but the alcohol is well contained. This should drink well over a long period.Saturated ruby. Explosive, powerful aromas of creme de cassis, blackberry, cherry preserves and smoked meat, complicated further by notes of licorice, an almost iron-like peaty quality and espresso. Broad, dense and lush, the dark fruit qualities repeating with great authority on the palate and showing impressive sweetness but also focus and persistence. This has the length and complexity of a high-end Bordeaux, and a concentration and sweetness that bode well for long-term development. Finishes with thick, harmonious tannins and a lingering note of blackcurrant. As good a wine as I've tasted from Chile to date. Almaviva is a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild (Chateau Mouton-Rothschild) and Concha y Toro. This wine trades on the Bordeaux market.

Dense, aromatic, layered and rich, this wine explodes from the glass with scents and flavors of concentrated berries, cassis, black cherry, and more. The vines have reached a mature stage that amplifies the fruit and keeps the generous barrel flavors in perfect balance. The barrel notes roll on in a chorus of toasty accents, and the finish is as good in the last minute as the first whiff from the glass. (98points) The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is a bigger, more structured wine. Dense, layered, and with a suave personality, it will continue to blossom for another 5-6 years and should see its 20th birthday in fine form.- Robert Parker(94points). 

The 2006 Two Blondes Vineyard is sourced from a vineyard in Yakima Valley owned by Camarda. It is a blend of 43% Cabernet Franc, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 28% Merlot. It offers up aromas of balsam wood, cinnamon, sage, incense, black cherry, and black currant. This is followed by supple, ripe wine with fine-grained tannins, savory flavors, and excellent balance. Dense and concentrated, it will continue to blossom with another 2-3 years of bottle age and offer a drinking window extending from 2011 to 2023. - Robert Parker.  Few winemakers in Washington are as heralded as Andrew Will’s Chris Camarda. And with good reason. Camarda makes intense, complex wines from some of the states finest vineyards.

Made from classic Bordeaux varieties with Syrah, it's dry, rich in tannins and complex, with flavors of blackberry, fresh herb and oak. But it's quite soft, with extraordinarily high alcohol that gives it a Cognac-like burn. "Chalk Hill's 2009 Estate Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 49%,, Malbec 21%,  Merlot 17%  with dollops of Petit Verdot 8% and Syrah 4%. Firm tannins support plums, dark cherries, mocha, spices and licorice in this full-bodied, intense wine. I get the sense that with a lighter hand this might have been a materially more complex wine, which is to say more in line with the rest of the estate's wines.  Anticipated maturity: 2014-2021. RP"

Dense and structured on the palate, it is likely to evolve for another 15-20 years and drink well through 2030.  94 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine CellarExotic aromas of raspberry and blackberry preserves, cherry-vanilla, cola, incense and potpourri. Weighty, creamy red and dark berry flavors are sweetened by vanillin oak and enlivened by pepper and spice qualities. The dark berry notes build with air and carry through the long, sweet finish. Very exotic stuff; give it a few years of bottle aging to let the oak and fruit harmonize

The 1971 Mouton Rothschild label displays an earlier work, composed by pioneering abstract artist Vassily Kandinsky.   "I was surprised by this showing given the vintage, yet the 1971 Château Mouton Rothschild showed impressively well, revealing a youthful deeper plum hue as well as terrific Mouton ripe fruits, chocolate, tobacco, and earth-driven aromas and flavors. Nicely textured, medium-bodied, and incredibly charming, with integrated tannins and acidity, it's not a blockbuster, but it’s a fully mature, delicious wine." (Jeb Dannik 12/2020).  Winery:  Our 2008 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a medium ruby color and aromatics reminiscent of cinnamon, black pepper, cassis and Bing cherry. It has a beautiful fruit-sweet core upon entry, a well-framed mid-palate, and a finish displaying roasted meat flavors and still marked by strong tannins. Given proper cellaring, this wine should improve through 2028. Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13.9% alcohol
