Grape varieties: Corvina Verones 60% Corvinone 25%, Rondinella 15%
Average age of vines: 30 years.
Vinification: after hand harvesting in mid September and careful selection, the grape are placed in small wooden crates and set aside to dry for 3 months.Then the grapes are softly pressed and left to ferment slowly. Aged a part in large Slavonia oak barrels and a part in small barrels for 5 years.
If stored well it can maintain its characteristics for 15-18 years.
Tasting notes: Intense garnet-red color, great intensity with an ethereal scent and
fruity with black cherries and prunes, bouquet of dried flowers and a hint of sweet
spices, structured and definite mellowness, contrasted by a velvety tannins.
