A mature Right Bank Bordeaux from Lalande-de-Pomerol, just north of Pomerol itself.

This wine is a classic Merlot-driven blend
75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, aged and fully resolved after nearly two decades in bottle.

On the palate, it’s structured but balanced, showing dried red and dark fruit, sour cherry, cocoa, subtle vanilla oak, and earthy savory notes that come with proper bottle age. Medium-bodied, very dry, and tannic, but softened with time. This is old-school Bordeaux, not modern plush Napa styling.

Best with beef, lamb, or game, especially dishes with richness or fat to match the tannins.

Château Moulin de Lavaud is consistently regarded as one of the top estates in Lalande-de-Pomerol, making this a rare chance to drink a fully aged Bordeaux at peak maturity.
