Tasting notes: A wine for laying down par excellence, full of finesse and deep colour. Solid structure. Aromas of red fruit, spices and liquorice. This wine needs a few years of cellaring to reach its full expression.

Food and wine pairing: This Nuits Saint Georges goes perfectly with meat cooked in red wine, roast poultry and mature cheeses.

Location: Nuits-Saint-Georges has been an active wine town for centuries. It gives its name to the Cote de Nuits and stands under the banner of Saint-Georges, its most famous cru. Established in September 1936, its Appellation d'Origine Controlee brings together Premeaux-Prissey and this commune. Most of the wine produced is Pinot Noir.

Soils: In the northern part of the vineyard, the soils are composed of silt and gravel coming down from the Cote, and alluvial deposits from the Meuzin valley when they are not at the top of the hillside. In the southern part, the lower silts come from the combe des Vallerots (deep soil, marl-limestone), while at the top of the hillside, the rock is caressed. Most exposure is to the east or south-east.
