2002 Antinori Villa Antinori Super Tuscan IGT
$69.90
Villa Antinori is a mid-weight red blend of mostly Sangiovese, with small amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from vineyards across a number of appellations within Tuscany. A delicious bottle of wine. Beautiful ruby in the glass, no bricking. Very fruit forward, delicious notes of black cherries with a hint of citrus, and velvety smooth. Tastes like it could cost twice as much and you would still be impressed.
Smoky, pruny, gamey, sweaty saddle leather, black cherry, tobacco nose. Rich, dry, slightly chunky and tight palate. Peppery, smoky, prune, chocolate, resin, mineral, vanilla flavours with a distinctly meaty, cassis note on the finish. A bit chunky but very good effort for the vintage.

RedMont Merlot 2013 DOC Collio, Ferruccio S...
$54.90
100% Merlot from one of the best Italian wine regions - Collio, Friuli
Planting year • 1967 - 2000
The grapes are collected on the basis of sensory analysis in the pre-harvest period: maximum maturation of skins and tannins is sought.
This wine ferments at a controlled temperature of 26 °C. It remains on its skins for a period of 20 days during which the color and structure of the wine is extracted.
It is refined in small oaken barrels with 500 l capacity where the malolactic fermentation takes place for a period of 14-16 months. At the end of this process, it is bottled without filtering to preserve its maximum integrity. It is then refined in the bottle for at least 4 months.
Collio DOC area is located in the extreme North of Italy, among Slovenia, Austria and the Julian Alps. This charming borderland features ample surfaces facing south, which are perfect for highly qualified viticulture. Here, vine growing dates back to pre-Roman times, and DOC was established in 1968. These hilly areas give origin to Collio DOC Pinot Grigio , a wine which expresses the vocation and potentiality of this area full of history, tradition and energy. Use code VINO for 15% discount.

Barbera D'alba 2000 DOC, Porello Brich Torr...
$49.90
Very low stock
Grapes: 100% Barbera
Aging in casks for 6+ months, bottled unfiltered.
Dazzling garnet color. Aromatics of red fruit, herbs and bramble. The palate shows blackberry, stewed raspberry, wild fennel, rainier cherry, a touch of mint and white pepper—with a dusty, pleasantly drying tannin that is perfectly balanced by the wine's lively acidity.
Porello was founded in 1930 by Cesare Porello when the region was not yet known for its wines, but rather its peaches. After WWII, his sons, Riccardo and Ettore, went against the tendency of the times, and dedicated themselves instead to working in the vineyards. Today, Marco Porello is the third generation of his family to craft wines from the family estate in Roero, located northwest of Alba on the left bank of the Tanaro River in the Piedmont region. Porello has 15 hectares of vines located in two of Roero’s twenty-three villages, and in some of the region’s most highly regarded vineyard locations, including Mombirone in Canale and Tanone in Vezza d’Alba. The grapes for this 100% Barbera were harvested by hand, destemmed and subsequently fermented in temperature controlled stainless-steel vats. After being gently pressed, the resulting wine was aged in a combination of wooden cask, stainless steel and cement and bottled unfiltered.
Food pairing: antipasti, grilled seasoned vegetables, stews, pastas, breaded veal, pork or chicken milanese with light sauces.
Camparo
3 PACK Diano D'Alba 2015 DOCG Superiore
$51.50
$66.00
3 btls pack. Intense ruby red, with slightly spicy and vinous aromas of wild berries and cherries. Velvety, soft and full-bodied on the palate, with an almondy aftertaste.
This is one of Camparo's most representative wines, as it is the most characteristic of the only village where it is produced - Diano d'Alba. Our Sori is Bric Camparo. Sori means a vineyard with the best exposure to the sun in the local Piedmontese region. This is one of the Langa's historic wines, so it goes wonderfully with our local dishes as well as others, such as tagliatelle with meat sauce, filled pastas, cold cuts, boiled meats, poultry and semi-hard cheeses.
Diano d'Alba can be called the local farmer's wine. It used to be the most popular wine to drink with meals in the Langhe region. We like to enjoy this very simple, yet equally magnificent wine at both lunch and dinner.

$189.00
FREE shipping.Beaulieu Vineyard is a historically significant winery in California's Rutherford AVA that has been producing wine for more than a century. During Prohibition, it managed to obtain a contract to supply sacramental wine to churches, meaning it was able to remain in production between 1920 and 1933 when the Volstead Act was repealed. This makes Beaulieu one of the longest continually operational wineries in the United States. The company was founded in 1900 by Georges de Latour. His background was not in winemaking or vineyard management, so he hired famed enologist André Tchelistcheff to come to Rutherford to establish the estate. Tchelistcheff went on to create the prestige cuvée Library Selection Rutherford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, and mentored many of the next generation of Napa winemakers, including Robert Mondavi, Mike Grgich and Joe Heitz.
Producer
The deep roots of Beaulieu Vineyard were first planted back in 1900, when founder Georges de Latour noticed similarities with his native Bordeaux and declared the Napa Valley ideal for winemaking. He followed up on this belief by planting vineyards in Rutherford with grafted, phylloxera-resistant French vines. The Cabernet Sauvignons that de Latour crafted from these grapes gave the world its first taste of California’s promise as a world-class winemaking region. In 1938 de Latour hired the young Russo-French enologist Andre Tchelistcheff, who would become California’s most distinguished winemaker. Tchelistcheff’s knowledge of traditional French techniques and willingness to experiment in local conditions brought BV the Grand Sweepstakes Award at the Golden Gate International Exposition, and led to the creation of Napa Valley’s first reserve wine, Beaulieu Vineyard Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

2002 Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon "Alexan...
$429.00
Winery: Our 2002 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a remarkably concentrated black and opaque hue. This is still an impressive wine, with aromas of spiced meats, raspberry compote, and a touch of hay. It has a massive attack and strong flavors of loose tobacco and cassis. It crescendos and builds momentum through the palate towards a long finish still framed by slightly chalky tannins. Given proper cellaring, this wine can be enjoyed now or will improve through 2030.
Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13.6% alcohol
Wine Advocate: 90 Points
The Alexander Valley cuvee is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in new oak. The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley offers abundant quantities of spice, vanillin, cedar, herbs, and smoke, soft, round, creamy-textured flavors, good black cherry and currant notes, and a spicy, medium-bodied, easy-going personality. Enjoy it over the next 7-10 years. - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (26-12-2005)

$289.00
FREE shipping. Concentrated and earthy, this is a full-bodied, moderately tannic but complex wine, from the earthy, spicy aromas through the ripe plum and anise flavors and mineral like finish.
Lovers of Inglenook's old wines will recognize the name Niebaum, which refers to that winery's founder, a sea captain named Gustave Niebaum. Francis Coppola acquired much of the property and began reconstructing the estate back in the mid-1970s. Located in Rutherford, this is an exemplary place for Bordeaux varietals in California. The name "Rubicon" is a classical reference to Caesar's march on Rome--'the crossing of the Rubicon'--meant to suggest a point of no return, appropriate for Niebaum-Coppola's flagship production. A proprietary blend, this is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate's prime vineyard blocks planted to the original Niebaum Cabernet clone, with only small amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
