 Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon. An inviting deep ruby-red color. This is a very aromatic wine, offering dark fruit, cassis, dried herbs, cocoa powder and vanilla. Flavors are of more blackberry and other dark fruit, black olives, caramel, root beer and vanilla. The wine's tannins are round and chewy, offering great balance and a lingering toasty and fruity finish. A great match with red meats and pastas

The Aglianico grape variety, from which Taurasi wine is produced, is called “Hellenic” - originating in Greece. Taurasi wine was named after “Taurasia”, a little village that was taken over by Romans after they defeated Hirpinis in the 80 AC. The Romans then moved thousands of settlers here from Liguria to work in the vineyards. 100% Merlot from one of the best Italian wine regions - Collio, Friuli    Planting year • 1967 - 2000 The grapes are collected on the basis of sensory analysis in the pre-harvest period: maximum maturation of skins and tannins is sought. This wine ferments at a controlled temperature of 26 °C. It remains on its skins for a period of 20 days during which the color and structure of the wine is extracted. It is refined in small oaken barrels with 500 l capacity where the malolactic fermentation takes place for a period of 14-16 months. At the end of this process, it is bottled without filtering to preserve its maximum integrity. It is then refined in the bottle for at least 4 months. Collio DOC area is located in the extreme North of Italy, among Slovenia, Austria and the Julian Alps. This charming borderland features ample surfaces facing south, which are perfect for highly qualified viticulture. Here, vine growing dates back to pre-Roman times, and DOC was established in 1968.
