Grapes: 100% Barbera, are selected from 3 top vineyards of Monforte, Barolo and Castiglione Falletto; aging in casks for 6 months, and is bottled unfiltered. Ruby purple color with ripe red cherry aromas and vanilla. With hints of violets the Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne is slightly rounder in structure than the Barbera d'Asti. On the palate it shows bright acidity, soft tannins with good integration of oak, good complexity and a lingering cherry finish. Food pairing: antipasti, rich salads, grilled seasoned vegetables, hearty soups/stews, pastas or with breaded veal, pork, chicken with light sauces.     Very low stock.

Aromas of tilled earth, Asian spice and mature black-skinned fruit come together on this hearty red. Mirroring the nose, the robust palate evokes dried cherry marinated in spirits, ground pepper and a dollop of vanilla. Handpicked in September, the grapes are dried gently in well ventilated rooms for around 3-4 months, concentrating their flavours, sweetness and colour. In winter, the grapes are crushed, fermentation starts with natural yeast and then the must is filled into 500-1000 litre oak barrels to finish. The wine matures in wood for 30-36 months before bottling. On the palate savoury with spicy nuances, a delicate tannin structure and a soft mouthfeel , extremely long finish. Great with rich and spicy first courses, baked and grilled red meat - steaks(!), game in rosemary sauce.

Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo.  Method of vinification: harvested by hand in boxes in October. The grapes are pressed and transferred into temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Traditional fermentation with daily pumping of the must over the cap for at least 20/30 days, following which the wine is drawn off into casks of French oak holding 25 hl and/or second/third-fill French oak barriques. The Nebbiolo d’Alba stays here for up to 18 months before being bottled in Bordeaux bottles with natural corks. Cellared for a further 6 months in the bottle prior to release.Tatsing Notes: Elegant wine which is well-structured and at the same time fine and delicate. Varietal pale red, with clear-cut aroma of violets, roses and red berries, as well as overtones of the wood it is aged in. Its strong, yet refined character is brought out on the palate, with unobtrusive tannins and an almost sweet finish. A perfect match for soups, first courses, red and white meats, medium-mature cheeses. Very Limited quantity.

Grape: 100% Vernatsch/Schiava Schiava is a Alto Adige variety that was long underrated to the point of being almost forgotten, just like the old limekiln after which the vineyard is named. Elegant power has enabled Kalkofen to rise phoenix-like from its ashes and cast a stylish spell over the world. The wine’s versatility and grace will tempt you to drop the pearl of your soul into a glass of this nectar.  VINIFICATION : the small Vernatsch grapes come from the oldest vines in the vineyard, and were selected by hand for this wine. The fermentation began spontaneously in the wooden fermentation vat, with a ten-day maceration period. Following an eight month maturation period in barrique and big wood barrels, the wine was bottled in late-April. TASTING NOTES: this wine is a pure pleasure. Luminous ruby red, fruity aromas of forest berries and cherries, velvet tannins with a unique structure and minerality make this wine unique. An ideal wine to accompany light Mediterranean cuisine.
