100 percent Merlot from the Collio hills of Friuli. RedMont comes from mature vines planted between 1967 and 2000 on alluvial soils with marl deposits. It is fermented at 26°C with 20 days on skins and gentle manual punch downs, then aged about 24 months in 500 liter oak barrels. Bottled without filtration to preserve purity, it rests a minimum of 4 months in bottle before release. P.121 is Tenuta Antonini’s flagship Montepulciano d’Abruzzo from old vineyards in the Ancarano hills. Hand harvested and gently pressed, it ferments in stainless steel at controlled temperature, then rests in medium to high toast French oak tonneaux for 18 months before bottling, followed by further aging in bottle up to 12 months. In the glass it shows an intense ruby color with subtle purple highlights, tending toward garnet with age. Aromas of red fruits lead the nose, with an ethereal lift. This etymology is almost identical to another of Sangiovese's many synonyms, Brunello. A few sources suggest that morello refers to a breed of horse unique to this part of Tuscany. Scansano's viticultural origins date back to Etruscan times, and the quality of the local wines has been documented for centuries.

Very elegant and full of taste wine. The grapes are collected on the basis of sensory analysis in the pre-harvest period: maximum maturation of skins and tannins is sought. This wine ferments at a controlled temperature of 26°C. It remains on its skins for a period of 20 days during which the of color and structure are extracted. It is refined in small oaken barrels with 500 l capacity where the malolactic fermentation takes place for a period of 14-16 months. At the end of this process, this wine is bottled without filtering to preserve its maximum integrity. It is then refined in the bottle for at least 4 months.

The weather situation induce us to an early harvest epoch thoughts. The heat, however, did slow the grapes development therefore we had an average harvest’s epoch which began on September 1 and ended on October 27. We immediately recognize the potential of an absolutely promising vintage when we saw the grapes quality brought to the cellar.
